Some reviews are helpful. Some are not. Some are just fascinating.

I don't know if you were here when this guy was on the forum, but it is better to not bring him up. At all. Please.

It seems that I've stumbled into a sensitive area. I've read many reviews written by this person, but have never seen anything posted on the forum. I just thought this was really interesting - you don't often see reviews like this. Therefore, I felt others may also find it interesting.

I'll drop the subject here.

Fortunately there's a way to delete this without the moderators stepping in. If you hit "edit," you could go back to the post, delete the ravings of the crazy guy, and post the White Album version. Blank. Just an idea.

This is the most poorly kept secret on the internet. Everyone discovers it by accident sooner or later. Archive.org needs to
fix the issue--a simple blocking device would suffice. Even as it is, the quality is poor and the tunes have gaps between them.

Even more ridiculous is the fact that the stuff has existed in the public domain for over 30 years. Any legal argument that the material was ever intended for the exclusive use of the GD is long gone. The statements of the members of the band and their intention to have the music out there is in and of itself enough to negate any action against somebody with a board in their possession that was ever on the Archive or traded on a cassette.

I personally have enjoyed my 1000+ hours of GD on cassette and more recently every show on MP3 (gapless and pristine) for many years. Trying to put this genie back in the bottle now by simply revising history to act like the stuff is or was not available by or somebody changing their mind about the music's availability is just Fantasy Land.

The same is true for what is found in the objectionable posts.

Is/was the guy actually a head or just a troll? I have wondered after seeing several of his "reviews".

Ever since Raygun took office, mental health services have been eliminated and/or drastically cut. As a result, there are many untreated mentally ill people among us. Many (most?) of the homeless in the US are untreated mentally ill people whose families couldn't cope and threw them out.

This person has all the hallmarks of a paranoid personality disorder. He/she needs help. Agree with others that it's best not to feed in to his/her delusions.

I don't know who wrote it or why you feel the need to copy and paste it into your post, but encouraging/instructing people how to D/L the mp3 versions of the SBDs is irresponsible and disrespectful to the band. They are generous enough to allow us to listen and to have the IA have one of the best GD resources on the net. Posting and re-posting that just going to end up having the SBDs pulled again.
People should report all those posts and the mods (who should not have to be saddled with more work) should delete them.
